To be successful as a Quality Control Inspector you should be incredibly thorough and able to help our company maintain the highest quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities Final Inspection of all units to ensure they are manufactured to the Sales Order, drawings, standards, and specifications.
Conduct in-process quality audits when needed.
Review standards and specification requirements with Production supervisor when errors or defects are detected.
Coordinate the quality process, provide support for continuous quality improvements.
Ensure the integrity of product quality, manufacturing, certification, and release activities.
Provide needed documentation for all assigned activities when required.
Assist with training the workforce in quality standards and specifications.
Adhere to the company safety regulations and assist in the training and awareness of safety guidelines to new employees in the department.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements A minimum of a High School Diploma/G.
E.
D.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Previous experience in quality control/quality assurance position.
Prefer at least three years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
Clear and effective communication skills with proficiency in the English language, reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
Strong computer experience using Microsoft Office.
Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
Good math and technical skills.
ISO related training or activity a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Office environment - will require extensive use of a computer including keyboard, mouse and other electronic tools which will require the use of both hands.
While working in the plants, will be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, dusty environment, vibrations, noise, etc.
Must be able to climb stairs/ladders, stoop, bend, and kneel while looking at equipment.
Must be able to be able to work at a computer for several hours using both hands (taking intermittent breaks as needed) in preparation of required reports, capital project documents, completing drawings, etc.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to don required PPE -safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, high visibility clothing (or vest), gloves or other specialized PPE depending on the job or circumstances.
