DescriptionWhere the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! As a Production Engineer, you will strive to achieve sustainable target performance from process and plant, whilst ensuring full compliance with complex regulatory requirements.
As a Production Engineer III you create chemistry by Ensuring that all activities within your area of responsibility are carried out in compliance with BASF regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and all relevant State and Federal regulations.
Monitoring and analyzing plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions and improvement opportunities.
Providing technical support and direction to the Shift Supervisors and operators in the resolution of plant problems.
Coordinating, supporting, and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility.
Programming and performing basic maintenance on distributive control systems.
Providing support for contractor oversight, management of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and start up.
Creating, reviewing, and updating operations documentation, and implementing training for the operations team when technical changes are required.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalentYour formula for success Education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry and your experience in chemical manufacturing or process development Knowledge of the chemical industry and OSHA safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including PSM - Process Safety Management) You @ BASF At BASF you get more than just compensation, Medical & Dental.
